Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween everyone! Tonight we had the Meyer family over. We wanted to get together and draw names for Christmas and we thought it would be fun to see the cousins in their Halloween costumes. Logan was a firefighter, Stella was Pooh's Honey Pot, and Jovie and Jaylee were witches (or at least had witch hats.) Everyone looked so cute! And it was fun to get together and just hang out for a while. And we actually had a few trick-or-treater's at the Ranch. I was very surprised, but it was so fun to see all the kids dressed up. The best costume I saw was a little girl dressed up as a nurse, now that might not sound very exciting, but her candy bag was the blue puke bags they give you in the hospital. It was so funny! Her mom said I was only the second person to realize what her candy bag was. Too funny. And I guess she was the second best costume I saw. Uncle Mike and aunt Debbie were dressed up too and uncle Mikes costume was pretty funny as well. We love you uncle Mike!
The other exciting news today is Logan got his third tooth. Brian and I were playing with him and I'm like, "Wait a minute what was that? Is that another tooth?" Sure enough there it was. We're not really sure when it came in, maybe today or yesterday. He hasn't been fussy or drooling worse than he was before. He's bee sleeping well. I'll have to ask Nicole on Monday if she noticed it before. What kind of parents are we that we don't even notice when our son gets teeth?

- Kiss on Logan (Lots of kissin' on Logan!)
- Clean the house (Which really means, put the dishes in the dishwasher and start.)
- Make dinner (Which lately is a pizza or left-overs or PB&J)
- Play with Logan (Which really means make faces and sing to him as I load the dishwasher, he really like to play with the silverware in the dishwasher so we do the dishes together.)
- Do some laundry (Throw some clothes in the washing machine and start.)
- Clean up dinner (Again put dishes in dishwasher or leave in sink if dishwasher is started.)
- Feed Logan (This is fun and he loves it!)
- Finish my test for class (This will suck, and I'm sure I won't finish it, but I'll at least start.)
- Kiss on Logan
- Get Logan ready for bed
- Kiss on Brian :-)
- Go to bed

Houston, TX
I'm in Houston Texas right now. We're visiting a customer site for work. It's a quick trip again, we flew in last night at 10 p.m. and will be leaving at 4:40 p.m. tonight. Which is good, but it's not the greatest way to start a week. Traveling wears me out. The worst part about this trip is that I forgot my phone at home. I'm traveling with our a cell phone. I'm going crazy....just knowing I don't have it is freaking me out! What the hell did we ever do before we had cell phones...and can you believe how depended on them we are now?!!??! At least I still have internet connectivity!
See back in WI tonight!

Pumpkin Carving
Sunday we carved our pumpkins. Brian usually gets really into designing his pumpkin and always does a WAY better job than me. This year I think we're pretty close to tied... :-) Logan didn't really get into the pumpkin carving. He was super crabby while we were carving them. Oh well next year will be more interesting!
Sunday I was doing a crossword puzzle on the couch. I finished one and got up to do the dishes and left my pen and crossword on the couch. Logan was playing in the living room and about ten min. later I hear him whine a little so I go into find out what's he's doing. This is what I found...
He had found my pen on the couch and colored all over his face. I laughed so hard I had to put Logan down cause I almost dropped him. No one said Brian and I were the worlds best parents, we're definitely learning as we go. Mom has now learned not to leave pens around the house. I'm just glad he didn't color all over my couch!
The other exciting (NOT!) news for the Meyers. Today I went to leave work and found out my car wouldn't start! CRAP! I hate car trouble. Cars are a necessary evil. I hate them. Anyways, luckily my cousin Kim works in Woodbury so she was able to give me a ride home. Brian's not sure what's wrong with it, but will head to the cities tomorrow night to retrieve the car and figure it out. The one good thing is Brian is very handy with the mechanics so we don't usually have to pay a dealership to fix our issues. Let's just hope this time is the same thing!

Hunter Logan...or Ninja Logan
The usual more pictures of Logan. He just loves this hunting hat that Jake, April and Layla Bean sent him when he was born. It's one of the few things we can put on his head and he doesn't immediately rip off. Well that and his Ninja headband that auntie Sherri put on him the other night...he didn't mind that either.
We had a bit of a scare on Thursday night. I'll start off by saying everything is fine and there's nothing to worry about. Brian called me from the bowling alley (he was subbing on a men's league for a friend) and said that his mom was in the hospital. Becky was having some pain in her chest and she went into have it checked out just to be sure. She did not have a heart attack or anything and the doctors never did figure out what was giving her the pain in her chest. They kept her over night in the hospital for observation and to run some more tests. She got to come home on Friday and the pain was gone. She's going back in on Wednesday for some more tests. But she's doing fine now, no pain. She said it was probably scarier for her family then for her, but I think she was kind of scared too. We're just so thankful that she's alright! We love you Grandma/Mom!
Other than that the weekend was pretty mellow, nothing much going on. These last few pictures of Logan are funny. We have a water filter in our fridge for the in-the-door water and ice. The filter goes in on the bottom of the door and the other day Logan discovered this while hanging out in the kitchen with me. Now whenever he's in the kitchen and I open the fridge door he goes over and plays with the filter. He lays down completely flat on the floor and plays with it. It's so funny. I tell you he is completely 100% all boy, constantly trying to figure out how stuff works and take things apart.
Logan was sitting on my lap while I was posting and of course he wanted to contribute as well....
khtjffchtgfvdt6yjnyjmtth n .
Not sure what that means, but maybe some day he'll be able to tell us...
Have a great week everyone!

Another Hair Cut
Thursday it was time for another hair cut for Logan....no Brian's didn't whip out the clippers again...I think Jody would have killed him if he had. No we brought him into Jody's salon and Jody gave him his first "real" haircut (although Brian will tell you that he gave him his first hair cut.) Logan did good, just a little fussy...but then again he is only 7 months old.
Friday night Kim, Sherri and I went to the Rascal Flatts concert at the Xcel Center. It was AWESOME! I love Rascal Flatts! Here is just a few pictures from the night.
Then Kim, Sherri and I did a little scrapbooking this weekend. And any time aunt Sherri is around we get a lot of great pictures, so here are a few.
(Kim look at the great shot Sherri got of Logan and his teeth...Kim and I tried all weekend long to get a good picture of Logan showing his teeth. We finally got one, but he's crabby in the picture and has a mean face. The above picture is much better! :-) )
Logan has learned how to do this weird sucking thing with his tongue now. Sherri captured a video of it this weekend....check it out...it's too funny!
Since Logan has been "walking" around the kitchen using a diaper box lately we thought it would be a good idea to get him a walker that he could actually use to walk around. Well luck for us Grandma Meyer had one we could borrow. She brought it over on Sunday and it only took about 15 min for Logan to figure it out. He doesn't have the steering thing down yet, but I'm sure it won't take him long. :-)
And finally, Brian and Logan were upstairs on Saturday night. Brian was suppose to be watching Logan, but was busy on the computer. He looked up to find where Logan was and this is what he found...
Logan had gotten into the Q-tips and was just chewing away on them. Brian thought they felt good on his gums since he's teething pretty bad. Logan did not want to give them up and was quite mad when we took them away.

Stuffed Duck
No I'm not talking about a new duck that Brian wants to get mounted...I would like to describe to you our dinner last night. Brian went duck hunting yesterday morning and came back with his limit of duck. So for dinner last night, he (yes Brian did this!) chopped up green peppers, onions and mushrooms, stuffed all of that goodness into the duck breasts and then wrapped the duck breasts in bacon. Then he slow cooked them on the grill. I can't even begin to describe how delicious they were. At one point during the meal I asked him if he was going to charge me $64.00 just for the dinner, it was fancy restaurant good! If you're wondering what my contribution to the meal was....instant mash potatoes....That's right I am the next Rachel Ray!!
This weekend was fun. My friend April came in on Friday. We went to dinner with my family for my mom's birthday and then went out with the girls after that. We ended up at a bar in Somerset that on a good day probably has 15 people. But they had Karaoke and I really wanted to sing that night. For those of you that don't know I love to sing Karaoke...now this in no way means I'm good at it...I just love to do it! My sister-in-law Debbie, now there's a girl that can sing...me not so much! But it was a blast! Shutterbug was of course in charge of pictures as always, but at the end of the night her camera died so the pictures on the blog are the ones I took from the end of the night. Not very good ones, so I'll try to get some from Shutter sometime this week. The rest of the weekend was just relaxing and recovering. Saturday April and I went to lunch and Target (had to get Logan some more formula) and then watched a movie. Then Sunday I drove her back to the airport. Thanks for coming April! It was great to see you and nice to be able to catch up.
I'm very excited! My other sister-in-law Carey started a website! I'm so excited I'll be able to look at pictures of my cute nieces any time I want now. YEAH!
Ok, time to start my Monday....

Happy Birthday Grandma
Today is my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday Mom/Grandma. I'm sure she's not going to be too happy that I'm posting this, but oh well. She took the day off of work, so her and my dad picked up Logan early from daycare to spend sometime with him. The last I talked to them they were on their way to Wal-mart to get some toys that Logan could play with while he's at their house. He's going to be so spoiled....oh well I guess...what are grandparents for right?
April's flying in for the weekend. Just her, no Jake or Layla this trip. So it will be fun to hang out with her and catch up. We're going out tonight with the girls and then probably spending the rest of the weekend recovering... :-)
Brian's agenda for the weekend is to hunt as much as he can. Although he's on baby duty for part of the weekend so I'm not sure how much hunting he'll be able to get in. Our freezer went from nothing in it to being packed full in a matter of a few weeks! I'm very excited! I was getting sick of buying hamburger.
I know I've been slacking on the Logan pics. (Sorry Aunt Christie) I promise I will have some updated Logan pictures by Monday. Maybe I can even get some video of him walking with his diaper box across the kitchen floor. Yup, he pushes his diaper box across the kitchen floor until he runs into the cabinets. Brian and I were thinking we need to get him a walker so that he can walk around the house...but then it's just one more LARGE EXPENSIVE toy taking up space in our house...so we've decided to hold off on that purchase. He'll learn to walk soon enough...after all he's only 6 months old....sometimes I forget he is only 6 months old...his actions make me think he's closer to a year. Especially since he's bigger than his cousin Stella. Next week is mom's week to get up with Logan and I think we're going to try some sleep training. I was reading about it on babycenter.com and I'm thinking it's worth a shot. We'll see what Brian thinks. I have noticed that he does sleep better when Brian gets up with him though...he already knows how to walk all over his mom....I'm doomed....
