This weekend Cody spent his first night in a hotel room. My cousin, Desirae, got married at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The wedding was beautiful and they couldn't have asked for a better day, the weather was perfect. Since the wedding wasn't until 5 and all the way in Chanhassen, MN we decided to just stay in a hotel that night. The other reason for staying in a hotel that night was Brian played in a softball tournament in the Metrodome at 1:40 a.m. Sunday morning. So it worked out well actually. We went to the wedding and then at 12:30 or so Brian left and went to play his softball game. They won 20-2. We shared a room with my Mom and Dad...poor Grandpa and Grandma didn't get much sleep that night I'm afraid...and neither did Brian and I. Logan was up at 6 Sunday morning, so we headed for home about 7 or so. Unfortunately the Explorer had other plans. We no more than got out of the parking lot and the battery light came on and we had a dead battery. We did make it back to the parking lot so my Dad could give us a jump. After that we we're on the road again...for only a short period of time though. We made it about 15 mins down the road and the battery was drained again. We had just replaced the alternator in the Explorer that week because we were having problems with it and unfortunately is looks like we were still having problems. We did make it to a Wal-mart and bought a new battery which did let us get home. Now we've just got to figure out what's wrong with the alternator on the Explorer.
Here's a few pictures from the weekend:
Grandma and Cody
Mom and Cody
Mom and Logan blowing out the candles on the table.
Great Grandpa Les and Cody. This was right before Grandpa looks at me and says, "I think he's filling his drawers." And handed him back to me. :-)
BMeyer after washing the Bulldozer. Let's just hope the Bulldozer is cleaner than BMeyer. Logan didn't want anything to do with Daddy this dirty.
Cody's first bath. He did really well. He cried at first, but then once he got used to the water he didn't mind it.
Of course Cody took his first bath with his brother Logan. Logan didn't really pay much attention to Cody and wouldn't really look when I asked him to say "Cheese".
Today Logan helped me make cookies. He likes to watch the mixer go round and round...oh yeah and his favorite part is when it stops and he can eat the dough. :-)
