Right after Camp April Sherman and I headed to NYC to visit my sister. It was a BLAST!!! We had a great time and a well rounded NYC trip. There were subway breakdowns, crazy taxi drivers, lights, celebrities, cocktails, Broadway performances, great dinner locations, site-seeing and of course more cocktails!
Here's a few pictures...
Times Square - Night 1
New statue in Times Square
Ground Zero
This is a picture of the 'Infinity Ponds' that are being built at Ground Zero.
A-Train taking the A-Train. Unfortunately the A-Train broke down as soon as we got on it and we never actually got to ride on the A-Train.
On the Subway
Jeffrey our detour helper. He helped us get to where we needed to go after the A-train broke down.
Central Park
Right before the 'Sex and the City' tour began. In front of the Plaza...or used to be Plaza.
Stop 1 on the Sex and the City tour.
At the restaurant where Carrie and Big had their engagement party in the Movie.
You can see the long table in the background.
These cupcakes were seriously THE BEST cupcakes I've ever had!!
Celebrity Sighting!! Yes this is Kelsey Grammar!! He was just walking down the street! He was so nice!
Cocktails at Steve and Aden's bar in the show.
Night 2: The Lion King on Broadway.
Dinner before the show.
After the show...Times Square behind us...and of course the Hoff!
Day 3: Sight-seeing. Us in front of the New York Stock Exchange.
The church from the first 'National Treasure' movie.
Inside the church...you can see the blurry security guard...he was coming to tell me I couldn't take pictures. This was like the third time I got in trouble for taking pictures on our vacation.
The Bull...please disregard scary stocker guy...
The Bull's Nuts
This was in front of the Twin Towers on 9/11. They moved it to a park near the infinity candle that burns for that tragic day.
No that is not a smudge on the photo...it is, in fact, the Statue of Liberty.
Shopping on Canal Street.
This was right before I got in trouble for taking pictures again...
Subway ride #85
Dylan's Candy Bar
Pit stop for some wine!
Being stupid...
Of course we had to stop here...
Subway ride #138
Night out - 3: Dinner and 'Down the Hatch' Bar.
$5
Falafel's at 3:30 am...I'm not a fan just for the record.
Glass of wine on the flight home in Business class...no other way to travel!
