Last night Cody did not sleep at all. He got up at 12:30 and basically cried until about 2. We tried everything, giving him Tylenol, bottle, rocking him, sleeping with us. At one point we just put him back in his crib to cry it out because we just had no idea what was wrong with him. No more than two min after we put him in his crib we hear a big bang. We both sort of look at each other and wait, holding our breath...sure enough...little stinker fell/climbed out of his crib. He opened his door and was walking down the hall crying. He has completely fine, just upset that we put him back in his room. Finally we got him to sleep...no idea what was really wrong.
So today I worked from home with the boys...which is completely impossible to get anything done with both boys at home. One boy there's a slight possibility...but with both boys, no way! At one point on a phone conference Cody just starts screaming at the top of his lungs. It was a happy scream, but a scream none the less. My co-workers thought I was torchering them.
So needless to say I was looking forward to nap time so that I might actually be able to get some work done. I put them both down for a nap at 12, quickly answered a bunch of e-mails and IMs and then jumped in the shower quick before my 1 meeting. I get out of the shower and am on the call for my meeting at 1:15 and again here a big bang from upstairs. I'm thinking, there's no way he just climbed/fell out of his crib again. So I wait for the screaming to start, but it doesn't so I figure it was him kicking the side of his crib or something. About 2 min later I hear him playing with the toys in his room that are on the floor...sure enough he climbed out of his crib. About 5 min after that he opens his door and comes out pushing his shopping cart, happy as a lark. He goes up to Logan's door right away and starts, 'nok, nok'ing on it.
Looking back it's pretty funny actually...but what are we suppose to do with a 16 month old that climbs out of his crib already? I don't think he's ready for a big boy bed yet...but I also don't want him to keep climbing out of his crib in case he hurts himself.
Dang Meyer kids....

You could try a crib tent. I don't know of anyone personally that uses one, but I've *heard* of a lot of people using them for that exact reason. Just an idea you may want to look into. Good luck:)
I can't remember the Steffen kids doing this. They always listened to their parents.
NOT!!!!!
Okay... Your kids are amazingly fearless!!! I'm so missing them but am happy to know I'll get to see them in March!!!
I think peter took his naps buckled in his carseat because he always climbed out of the Crib
