NYC

Right after Camp April Sherman and I headed to NYC to visit my sister. It was a BLAST!!! We had a great time and a well rounded NYC trip. There were subway breakdowns, crazy taxi drivers, lights, celebrities, cocktails, Broadway performances, great dinner locations, site-seeing and of course more cocktails!

Here's a few pictures...

Camp Croix 2010

This year was Cody's first year at Camp Croix (obviously! :-) ). Things didn't start out so hot this year...On our way to camp we lost a wheel barring on the camper. Luckily we had to pick up my cousin Kim so we where at her house when Brian realized what had happened. Kim and I took the boys and headed to camp while Brian stayed behind and fixed the wheel barring. It only took him an hour or so to fix it before he was on his way again...only to get as far as Milltown and have the fuel tank on his truck fall off. It was rubbing on the drive shaft; so he stopped and strapped that on tighter. He finally made it to camp at about 8 or so on Friday night. Then things started going smoothly until we noticed a rash on Cody. (It turns out it wasn't anything major and most likely bug bites...which sounds like it would be a "Duh" moment, but these bites/rash were very weird and didn't show up all the time...just take my word for it it wasn't normal bug bites.) Anyway, so we started putting Itch cream on it and giving him Benadryl. Sunday night Logan started acting kind of weird and didn't want to eat. He ended up having about a 102 degree temp and throwing up that night. We were going to leave, but every time we started to pack up he'd start looking/feeling better. It ended up being a 24 hour bug almost to the min. He only threw up twice which was good.

But despite all that Camp was a blast! We had hoped to rent a JetSki on Monday; however, when we got it to the lake it wouldn't run. My brother, Dad and Brian took it back twice and it still didn't work so we just returned it. Too bad it would have been a blast!

OK here's some pictures and videos.

I think this picture is funny. Logan didn't want to go out in the deep part of the swimming area cause he was afraid of the fish. We finally got him out there and taught him how to "swim" on the last day. Then of course we couldn't get him out of the lake. :-)
