As mentioned in a previous post we went to Rochester with the Sherman's for a mini-Spring Break vacation a couple weeks ago. I'm finally getting around to posting some video and pics from it.

Immediately after this scene Logan comes up to me and says, "Mom I want my Red ball." Layla was in charge of keeping track of everyones balls that weekend....ok...wait a min...that sounds really bad....get your minds out of the gutter...I'm not talking about THOSE balls. ;-)

Playing

Let's see...what's new to report...work is insane for me...Brian's beginning to plan for his Farming adventure this summer of planting alfalfa...the boys are great! Crazy and full of energy as ever! They can't WAIT to get outside!! This is the winter that just won't end...which is so excruciatingly painful for a 3 year old. We decided on a new day care, Busy Bee's. Logan and Cody really liked it when we went to visit. So they'll start there in the fall. We're still bowling, but only have two more weeks left of that. Then the summer activities begin! GOLF!! Can't wait! I ordered my push cart today! My Christmas present from my wonderful husband! :-)

Alright...here's a few pictures and video's of the boys playing. Enjoy!

Logan's Baseball Birthday Party

Since I've been so far behind with things I'm not sure if it's better to go back and post all the pictures I've taken in the last few months or start with the most recent. I figured it's maybe easier to post the most recent so we'll post some from Logan's birthday party on Saturday.

It was a great party!! There was a ton of people there and we're so thankful for everyone that could make it!! My sister made it in from NYC and Steven came from Milwaukee, Mitchell and Jamie from Eau Claire! The whole family was together!! Almost the entire Meyer family was there. Mike and Deb had to go up north to Deb's Grandma's birthday I think. Logan was so upset that Stella wasn't going to be able to come to his birthday party. He kept asking over and over for her to be able to come. Finally I called Deb and asked her if it would be OK for Stella to just spend the weekend with us so she could come to the birthday party. I think Stella was as excited to come over for the weekend as Logan was to have her. He was so upset when she had to leave. :-)

So of course we'll start with a picture of Logan's cake! Although this year I didn't have a ton to do with it. Kim did most of the work! Thanks so much for your help with things this weekend Kim! You're the best!! Love ya!

I had asked everyone to wear their favorite baseball shirt to the party. Becky didn't have one...so she made one! A great one!! What's better than a 'Team Logan' shirt?!?!

Kim and I had found these awesome white foam fingers at Michael's!! They made the perfect activity for the kids during the party. I got foam letters and stars that were adhesive on the back and markers and the kids had a blast decorating their own foam fingers!

Nicole Brown made Logan this AWESOME cape and mask for his birthday!! He just LOVES it and runs around the house yelling, "Super Logan to the rescue!!" :-) He makes Cody wear a Bib backwards as his cape. :-) I'm telling you...he never wants his brother to be left out of anything...

That's all I've got for party pictures...I didn't take a ton and realized I don't have one of Logan blowing out his candles...but I'm sure Kim or my Mom has one that I'll steal for the scrapbook!! ;-)

The last few pictures I'll post are of Logan enjoying his birthday present from Mom and Dad. We got him his first compound bow. He was so excited when Brian let him shoot it! He kept asking to shoot it over and over again! Him and Dad hit the target more times then they missed! And of course Mom had to shoot it with him! :-) Awwee...our little hunter...

Logan's Third Trip Around the Bases

Wow...if there's anyone still out there reading this...I apologize. It's been way way too long since I posted something here. It's not for lack of content...with two young boys there is plenty to post about...like how Cody pushed himself through the gate at the top of the basement stairs the other night and went tumbling down. He caught himself 4 stairs from the bottom. Poor kid was scared, but survived. He hurt his toe and had some scratches on his belly and back, but other than that was untouched. Lucky little kid. He was pretty cute walking around the house the rest of the night pointing at his toe going, "Hurt, hurt".

Or how we went to Rochester with the Sherman's last weekend and had the pleasure of sharing in their unbelievability great news that April doesn't have to do radiation! The tumor is completely gone!! See more info here. We had a blast at the hotel with them! There was an indoor water park that the kids LOVED!! My boys really do have no fear though. Within the first 5 min of being in the pool area Logan had already made his way over to the stairs of the largest water slide and was planning on heading right up the stairs to the top. When I stopped him he turns to me and goes, "I want to do it myself Mom." No way Mister...but he did LOVE going down with Daddy over and over again. I have a bunch of pictures that I will try to get uploaded some day soon...

But the biggest news around the house lately is Logan's 3rd Birthday. Seriously where does the time go? He's 3 already? 3 years ago I was a "trying to figure out which way the diaper goes on, freaking out every time he spit up even a little bit, waking him up in the middle of the night just to make sure he was still breathing" first time Mom. It seems like only yesterday in some respects, but also seems like an eternity ago. I can't imagine my life now without my little Meyer Munchkins, who make me smile and laugh each and every day. They truly are the heart that beats outside my chest. I find myself some times watching them play or when Logan looks at me and says something funny or sweet to me, actually feeling so much love that I think my heart will literally burst right out of my chest.

Logan's no longer a toddler, but a KID. A KID. He's grown so much over the last year and especially over the last few months. He talks all the time (just like his Mom) and LOVES to ask questions. He's insightful and inquisitive, always wondering why something does what it does or why we have to do x or y. He never forgets to remind me in the mornings if I forget to remind him to put on his glasses. Saying, "Mom you forgot my glasses." He likes to do things on his own that I'd rather help him with and asks for help with things that he knows he can do on his own. He still won't eat great at dinner time for us...but we've recently learned he eats breakfast and lunch great! He's a bully to his little brother, but also loving and supportive. Whenever I tell him we're going to do something or get something (like a sucker or cookie) he immediately turns to Cody and says, "Cody you want a sucker too?" Never forgetting about his little brother. He loves to paint pictures and read books and watch cartoons. He can't wait to get outside and play on his playcenter and drive his tractor again. He's creative and I love to listen to him talking to himself in his room when he should be sleeping.

I asked Logan what kind of birthday party he wanted to have and he said, "A Baseball Party". So that's what we're having. I have a bunch of baseball park food planned and some baseball themed crafts for the kids. He's so excited for his party and especially excited that his cousin Stella can come. My sister is coming home for the party as well and we're so excited to see her!!

My little man is 3 years old...It's funny that that statement makes me so incredibly happy and sad all at the same time. I think you never truly understand how powerfully you can feel conflicting emotions at exactly the same time until you're a mother. I love you so much my little man, my first born, my son that taught me how to be a Mom. I hope you had a great birthday and have a great birthday party!

[I apologize for the spelling mistakes as well...it's late and I can barely see straight...]
