Twinsfest 2009

Before I get to Twinsfest here's a video of Logan eating ice cream with Brian. It's so funny. He does his fake laugh in the video too. Do you see now why we can't go a single day without laughing with him around. I do realize the video is kind of dark, but it was 8 p.m. and I didn't feel like turning on the lights...sorry.

Last Saturday was Twinsfest at the Metrodome. It was a lot of fun. The players are there signing autographs and taking pictures. There are games you can play, food, cool memorabilia to look at and they had a big display of the new stadium that will be done in 2010. I brought Logan with not really knowing what to expect and in hindsight it wasn't the best idea I've ever had, but it wasn't the worst either. He's just at the point now where he wants to get down and walk all the time and it wasn't really a great place for him to walk around. But he did really well. The funny thing was every time we would get up to the front to get the actual autographs from the players he would fall asleep. We were waiting in line for the first set of autographs which was Mike Redmond, Denard Span, and Nick Blackburn and he fell asleep about 5 mins before we made it to the front. So when we got up there I jokingly asked Blackburn if he wanted to sign my baby's head, just to see what he would say and Denard Span pipes up right away, "I will. No seriously I will. Do you want me to?" I just started laughing and said no, I didn't want to have to fight with Logan to scrub with one of those 3M yellow and green scrubbers to get the autograph off, but it was pretty funny. Then when we were getting the second set of autographs Logan fell asleep about 30 mins before we got to the front. This time it was Nick Punto, Brenden Harris, and Matt Gerrier signing autographs. I asked Brenden Harris if he wanted to sign my kids head like Span did and he's goes, "No he didn't." "I'm like, he really wanted too." "No way, let me see he says." I had to explain that the good mother I am wouldn't allow it, but I think he was a little disappointed that Span didn't sign his head. All-in-all a great day, despite the fridge sub-zero temperatures we had to endure while running from the car to the dome and back. Here are a few pics....

The whole gang.

Gomez. We didn't get his autograph, but Sherri got a good picture.

Punto. Punto was molested by some drunk lady in the picture line. I guess it was pretty funny.

602

I DID IT! It's been my goal all bowling season to bowl a 500 series and last night I bowled a 602, blew my 500 series out of the water. 171, 209 and 222 were my games. I was so excited! Now, I understand, to most a 602 is nothing special, but I'm not most people and it's very special! I was told I get a patch for it. I then asked, "What am I going do with a patch?" To which the response was, "You can get a bowling shirt and put it on that." At first I thought, a bowling shirt, how gay! But the more I thought about it....I COULD GET A BOWLING SHIRT! Yeah! Brian was a little disappointed that I beat him to the 600 series, he's missed it by 1 pin, 2 pins and 3 pins this year. I told him it will happen, just keep trying...oh and watch me! ;-)

I do have a very cute video of Logan to post. It's of him and Brian eating ice cream, very funny. And some pictures from Twinsfest on Saturday, but I forgot my camera at home today and I need some pictures from Shutterbug. I'll work on getting them posted tonight.

Is it June yet?!?!?!

10 Months Old

Logan's 10 months old today. And I'm most happy to announce that he got his tooth this weekend. No more purple tooth! Saturday night was a little rough, but Sunday it finally showed up. I was hoping that was why he got a horrific diaper rash and was not sleeping...and I was right. That was pretty much the most exciting thing that happened this weekend...other than Brian losing his phone...again...luckily he did find it in the bus on Sunday when he went back to look for it, so that crisis was averted. We got free HBO and Cinemax this weekend so Logan and I just hung out at home watching movie after movie. Mom did manage to clean the house a little, but didn't do her paper for school...guess I'll have to tackle that job tonight. Brian's got a JV wrestling match tonight and then tech club tomorrow night so it will be Logan and Mom for the next couple days. I'll try to get some video of his new thing he does. If you start laughing he'll start fake laughing cause he thinks you're laughing at him. It's so funny.

Happy Monday everyone!

Purple Tooth

I'm not sure if I mentioned it before, but Logan has a purple tooth. His upper right front tooth has been swollen and purple for about 5 weeks now. I called the clinic at about the 3 week mark and they said if there are no ulcers in his mouth, he's not running a fever and he's acting normal (i.e. eating and pooping) then not to worry it would come through eventually. Well we decided after another two weeks that we should have it looked at. So I took him in yesterday and the doctor said it's a cyst that's formed over his gum's where the tooth should erupt through. The doctor called X-ray right away because he wanted to see if there was in fact a tooth under his gum's or if it was an empty cyst. And if there was a tooth there he wanted to see if it was coming in correctly or if it was coming in at an angle. So after two X-rays he said things looked good, but he wanted the radiologist to confirm that everything looks good. So hopefully sometime today the doctor will call back and let us know if things look good. If he does call and things look good then it's a waiting game again. He said to wait another three weeks and if the tooth hasn't erupted by then, then we should take him in to see a dentist. We should take him to a dentist mainly because he said we just don't know what's going on, why the tooth won't erupt and they would be better able to identify why.

The important thing is that Logan's not in pain. Now we'll just have to wait and hope that the tooth erupts soon!

Glamour Shots

I just scanned these into my computer with our home scanner so they're not the best quality in the world, but you get the picture. :-) Do you think Glamour Shots will sue me for putting these on the web?

Another year older

I'm another year older. This past weekend it was my birthday. Kim and I scrapbooked Friday and Saturday, which was awesome cause I'm all the way through October of 2008 now. Yippie! Then Sunday Brian, Logan and I hung out in the morning and went to visit our families. Then Sunday night Sherri and I went to see Bride Wars and out to dinner at the Village Pizzeria. I love the Village Pizzeria's food! So not an over the top exciting weekend, but still fun.

Logan still hasn't gotten his top right front tooth yet. It's been swollen and purple for about 4 weeks now maybe even more than that. I made an appointment on Wednesday to have the doctor look at it. It doesn't seem to be bothering him, but it still makes me uncomfortable that it's purple. It just doesn't seem right. So we'll see what the doctor says.

Other than that, not much going on. Bowling tonight! I think I have a few pictures of Logan at home on the camera, but I'm not sure if any of them are worth posting. I'll check tonight and see.

Weight Training

Gotta love photoshop! :-)

Ok, I need to give credit where credit is due...I didn't do the Photoshop work on this image. My co-worker Tito did it. He's a wize at Photoshop! So instead of me fighting with it for like 4 hours this took him 39.8 seconds to do. Thanks Tito!

Happy New Year!

A little late, but Happy New Year everyone! 2009...wow...ten years since I've graduated from high school....and so much has happened.

But not much has happened so far in 2009. Logan is full on walking now. He'd much rather walk now then crawl. Here's a video of him showing off his walking skills.

In fact Logan has mastered his walking skills so much that he's taken to weight training while walking now. We're starting him on a slow regime so we don't burn him out. This HD antenna box was just the right size and weight to start his training with.

And here are a few pictures. Please be advised I could wipe the kid's nose about 30 times an hour and it would still be runny like that...my fellow moms know what I'm talking about...

Last night we bowled Sherri's team so Kim brought Logan down to the lanes for a little bit. Dad took him up to bowl for his first time!...and Auntie let him gamble for the first time?!?! Not really, but the picture is cute!

The other night Brian gave Logan his Indian name...."Walks with Tuperware"...what can I say we were watching Dances with Wolves
