4 MINS!!!

4 MINUTES!!! That's right folks 4 minutes, not 4 hours...minutes that's how long it took our little Debbie to push out this beautiful little boy!! 4 MINS!! Debbie was on Patocin because she wasn't having any contractions, yet her water had definitely sprung a leak so they didn't want to send her home. She started Patocin at about 9 and they slowly increased it basically every hour until about 11:30 - 11:45. At which time I guess the nurse checked her and she was at a 5 but the nurse could still feel a little bag of water around Weston's head, so she broke the bag of water and within 15 mins Debbie had gone from a 5 to a 10 and yup 4 mins later Weston was here. I'm sure I don't have all the details correct and I'm sure Debbie will post on their blog with all the right details, but I know I got the 4 mins detail right...ok I officially hate Debbie now...4 mins...come on...No I'm just kidding Debbie I love you and am so proud of you! Way to go girl! Weston is beautiful and we're so happy for you and Michael!

Congrats again!

6 more weeks until Oscar....I'm so excited now!

Weston James Meyer

I am so excited and proud to tell you that Weston James Meyer was brought into this world this morning at 1:16 am! 6 lbs 14 oz 20.5 inches long. Congrats Michael and Debbie! I don't know much more than that (I believe both mom and baby are doing great!), but I'm so excited and will be going to see him (and his parents) today on my lunch break! I'll post pictures as soon as I get back from lunch!

And then there was one...one little Oscar yet to come! Only he's got 6 more weeks to cook! Here's a few pictures at 33 weeks.

Happy Birthday Brian!

First I want to say a huge happy 30th birthday to my wonderful husband. Martina McBride has a new song out and the first time I heard it I thought to myself, "wow this is exactly how I feel about Brian." Babe, everyone truly does think your amazing! Whether it's racing buses, remodeling the ranch, helping anyone and everyone that calls you for help or advice because they trust you and respect you completely, or simply being yourself and going/doing a million things a min and never seeming to drop any one of those 30238 balls you've got in the air at any point in time. But no matter how many things you've got going on you always make me feel special and loved. I couldn't have asked for a better husband, father to my children or most importantly best friend. I love you babe, I hope you had a great birthday. I'm so proud of you and truly honored to call you mine!

I pinch myself sometimes to make sure I'm not in a dream
That's how it seems
I close my eyes and breathe in the sweetest moments I've ever known
It feels like home
And here I am I want to be your everything
There you are
Turning winter into spring

And everyone who sees you
Always want's to know you
And everyone who knows you
Always have a smile
You're standing ovation after years of waiting
For a chance to finally shine
Everyone calls you amazing
Yeah
I just call you mine

I fall apart
Just a word from you just somehow seems to fix
Whatever's wrong
Oh, you reach into the weakest moments
And remind me that I'm strong
You've got to know
I'd be a fool not to see you even worse
To forget that you're more than I deserve

Cause everyone who sees you
Always want's to know you
And everyone who knows you
Always have a smile
You're standing ovation after years of waiting
For a chance to finally shine
Everyone calls you amazing
I just call you mine

Nothing makes sense when you're not here
As if my whole world disappears
Without you what's the point of it

Cause everyone who sees you
Always want's to know you
And everyone who knows you
Always have a smile
You're the dream that I've been chasin' after years of waiting
For a chance to finally shine
Everyone calls you amazing
I just call you mine
Everyone calls you amazing
I just call you mine

Ok, sorry for the sappy stuff...

This weekend was Meyermania IV and as always a great time. Unfortunately this year it was the first time the keg toss took place in the wee hours of the morning....4:30 am is way way too late/early for this preggers momma to stay up and watch the keg toss, and I know there were a few others that missed it cause they were sleeping...aka passed out! By the time the first keg was gone we had to hurry into town to get the second keg and didn't have time to do the keg toss with the first keg. So we had to wait until after the second keg was gone. Mikey again dominated the keg toss even with his bum wheel. Here's a few pictures from the festivities.

You might be a Redneck if your bathroom walls are make up of cork board and furnace! hehe...this is the hillbilly bathroom that Brian rigged together in about a 1/2 hour on Friday night. As you can see part of the bathroom is our furnace. :-)

Really there were girls at this party too...

Double Trouble!

Preggers Momma's! Debbie's due any second now and we can't wait to meet Westin!

Hitchell's Home!!

Last night we pickled beets and cucumbers. It was really fun and a big thanks to Becky for her help! Logie tried to help, but mostly he was working on sending a package...a very special package...a Logie package! :-)

Bella Mae Brown

I have so much exciting news to share today....

Congratulations Nicole and Ben!! They had their little baby girl last night...or should I say early this morning.

Bella Mae Brown, 7 lbs 3 oz (same as Logie) 19 inches long born at 12:57 am.

She just updated her blog on Tuesday saying she was already 3-4 cm and the head was really low. So I was expecting it any day now! I don't have pictures yet, but will post them as soon as I get some. Congrats again!

The other exciting news is my brother Mitchell is home from Iraq on leave. He wanted to surprise my parents so I couldn't post it on the blog before today. He got into town yesterday and will be leaving again on Aug. 7th. My mom and dad were so excited!! It was a good surprise, even though we had a bit of a mix up about when his flight came in and who was available to pick him up...oh well though, he's here and that's all that matters. He's so relieved to be home and see everyone. He's got tons of pictures from his deployment so far, but I haven't had a chance to look at them yet.

The final good news of the day is Oscar's doing great and our baby appt this morning went awesome! The Stillwater clinic is very nice, Dr. Weber is great, I really like him so far and his nurse is awesome! Oscar's heart tones were at 140 bpm and he/she's measuring right where they're suppose to. Our next appt is Aug 4th and Dr. Weber is going to do another ultrasound then. He wants to check the placenta just to make sure it's move up since it was kind of low at my last ultrasound. Brian and I toured the birthing suites as well and talked to one of the nurses there and again the rooms are beautiful and the nurse was super nice and friendly. Makes me excited for Oscar to get here knowing that him and I will be well taken care of. I just know everything's going to go great this time.

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Reap what you sow

Isn't that the old saying, "You reap what you sow"? Well the last couple of nights the Meyer's have definitely reaped what we sowed. I picked peas for 1.5 hours on Monday night had 4 ice cream pals full of them and then spend 2 hours shucking them...only to get a bucket and a half done. Brian got home last night in time to help me shuck the rest of them, but man that was a lot of peas. Don't get me wrong I'm very excited our garden is such a success and nothings better than fresh peas from the garden...but it's time consuming. The whole family helped in picking and shucking the peas though. Monday night I would pick the peas off the vines and hand them to Logan and he would put them in the bucket for me, saying "Thank you" almost every time I'd hand him some peas. It was so cute. And if I didn't pick them fast enough he would grab some off the vine and pick them himself...he actually found a few I had missed! Then last night while Brian and I shucked the peas, we'd open a pea up and give it to Logan and he'd pick all the peas out of the pod. Of course he'd eat the peas right away, but still it was so fun to watch him concentrate on picking all the little peas out of the pod. Here's a few pictures from last night.

"MOM I LOVE PEAS!"

Before we started picking peas last night Logan was walking around the house like this.... :-)

This last video is of Logan whistling. Brian always whistles at him to get his attention if Logan is doing something he's not suppose to do if if he's not listening to us (which is of course quite often!). So the other day Brian was whistling at him (and Brian always does the "hot girl walking by" whistle) when all of a sudden Logan goes "Wooot Woooo". It's so funny to listen to him whistle. He of course wouldn't do it that much for the video, but he does do it once towards the end. I can't whistle so I just do what Logan does "Wooot Wooo". :-)

Happy Birthday Christie

Happy Birthday little sister!!

Happy Birthday Dan

Happy Birthday Dan...a little late...

Not Sawyer

Brian and I were discussion the current results of the voting this weekend, talking about which names we liked and which ones we didn't care for. I said I liked Sawyer and Brian said he didn't really like it. I asked why and this was his response..."So-yer-a Meyer huh?" CRAP!! So the name Sawyer is out. I can't edit the poll since people have already voted, but if you've voted for Sawyer and would like to change your vote feel free. We're for sure not going with Sawyer now. I was quite disappointed when Brain pointed this out, but I guess better now then after Oscar arrived and we'd already named him that.

Emma Marie Jacobs!!

Congratulations Angie and Luke on the birth of your beautiful baby girl Emma!

Stats: Emma Marie Jacobs 8lbs 6oz 20" long 8:47 pm July 13th! I'll post pictures as soon as I get them. Congrats again Angie and I can't wait to meet her!

First here are a few pictures from the 4th of July weekend.

The Grandma's chillin' in their cool 4th of July hats!

Polish horseshoe tournament in full swing! Brian and I dominated the tournament by the way! :-)

Uncle Steven and Logan playing.

This video makes me laugh so hard! Uncle Steven was pushing Logan around in Linkin's car. I just think it's so funny how Uncle Steven makes sure his feet are securely inside the vehicle before blasting out of the gate. Logan definitely wore Uncle Steven out that day! Thanks bud for playing with him though, he loves you!

Last weekend the Meyer's were camping in Grand Marais, MN. for a friends wedding. We drove up there Thursday afternoon and got there about 7:45 Thursday night. Things didn't start off super great. Brian was jacking up the camper and accidentally hit Logan in the nose with the end of the jack handle. He's got a little red scratch on the side of his nose and it swelled up that night, but other then that the trip was a huge success and super fun! The McMartin's were camping right next to us, so we hung out with them the entire weekend. Thanks again guys for a great weekend! We were camping right on Lake Superior, the lake was literally 100 yards away so at times it was kind of chilly. Here's a picture from the beach just down from our campsite...so beautiful!

Cool guy Logan!

Friday we went mini golfing and Bonnie and I dominated the guys in mini golf! Yeah momma's! Logan had a blast. They had a little red plastic club that he could use and we got him his own ball. He loved chasing after the balls and putting them in the holes.

Then Friday night we went and played tennis. Again Logan had a blast chasing after the balls and he loved it when Mom would help him hit the ball with the tennis racket!

After reading this sign we just had to go to Sven and Ole's for pizza! The pizza was awesome!

The beautiful bride! Congrats Jackie and Troy!

Here's a video of Logan dancing at the wedding. It was really dark in there so it's super hard to see, sorry...but he was having a grand time. His favorite part of the night was playing in all the dirt outside and dumping it on his head. He was covered head to toe in dirt...as I've said before 100% little boy! :-)

Braxton Hicks

That's right the Braxton Hicks contractions have started!! Tuesday I was sitting at my desk at work and all of a sudden I really had to use the restroom...not a shocker it happens when you've got a little alien dancing on your bladder. But when I got up to go to the bathroom I noticed I had a hard time walking...it was really more of a waddle and my stomach was extremely tight. So I'm walking/waddling to the bathroom and one of my coworkers walks by and starts talking to me. After we chat for literally 30 seconds and I start on my trec to the bathroom again I notice my stomach isn't tight anymore and I can walk normally again. That's when it hit me...braxton hicks! I had another one that night while I was folding laundry. Brian happened to be laying on the bed watching the Twins (God forbid he actually help fold the laundry, instead he just lays on the bed...sorry preggers rant there...) so he got to feel it as well. Anyways, braxton hicks don't really mean much other then my body's preparing for Oscar to make his debut! So that got me thinking, we've got a girls name (Brianna Marie) but we don't have a boys name yet...so I've compiled a list of the boys names we sort of like and added a poll to the side of this blog. Please vote on which name you like the best. I can't guarantee the winning name will be used, but I thought this might be fun.

Below are a few videos of Logie Bear. This first one is him dancing to the theme song for Rescue Me. He loves that song and when it comes on he just starts dancing to it.

And then Tuesday night I taught Logan how to show his muscles. In this first video he does it right away at the start of the video and then of course won't do it again. But in the next video he does it...and of course is looking away from the camera...but oh well it's fun!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Giardia....Beaver Fever...Swine Flu...who knows...

Things are pretty much back to normal at the Meyer Ranch. The dogs are all eating again and running around causing trouble. They've all finished their antibiotics and are looking great. As for Logan, he was doing ok. Friday he had about 8 super bad poopy diapers and then mom and dad made the mistake of giving him milk before bed. He rolled over at 4:30 a.m. and threw up all over mom. (We were all three sleeping together since we were camping at the Cottor's cabin.) Logan didn't even wake up he just rolled over and went back to sleep. Mom and Dad and Kelly got up and cleaned him up, got him changed and back to bed. The next day he did better only about 5 bad diapers and mom and dad went back to the bland diet. I called the clinic this morning to get the results of the lab work and they said he tested negative for Giardia and everything looked ok. So who knows what Logan had. He only had 2 poops yesterday so I gave him some milk this morning with breakfast. We'll see how that sets with him and if he can keep it down. If he can't we're back to the drawing board and back to the Dr.

This weekend was very fun and very relaxing. I slacked on the picture taking though so I don't have too many...or any at this point to share with you. My mom and Shutter have a few so I'll work on getting them soon. Other than that, it's another 4 day work week for the Meyer's. We're off to Grand Marais this weekend for a friends wedding. Should be a good time, and I'm just hoping it doesn't rain. What are we going to do with Logie Bear if it rains? He'll go absolutely insane if he's stuck in the camper all day...and I'm sure mom and dad will too!

HE EATS!!

Tank has definitely gotten his appetite back! Yesterday when I got home he looked like a brand new dog. His eyes were finally alert and he was walking around and exploring more, like he used to. He still hadn't eaten anything at that point, but then last night Brian tried to give him some more of the bland dog food and Tank just looked at him like, "Are you kidding me? I haven't eaten in a week and you're trying to feed me this?" So Brian gave him a little bit of his regular hard dog food and Tank devoured it. Yeah!! Then this morning he was chewing on a bone that he had found in the yard, so I'd say we're in the clear and we've got our old dog Tank back!

Bo still hasn't eaten much, and we're still giving him the antibiotics. I took Logan into the Dr. yesterday just to be safe and have him checked out. The doctor said it sounds like Giardia, which is a microscopic parasite that can be passed from dogs to humans. We're in the process of collecting stool samples from Logan to have them tested to confirm that's what it is. Logan did great yesterday, no throw up and hardly any poops so maybe we're heading out of the woods with him as well. We've still got Logan on a bland diet as well, no dairy for a couple of days. I'm just so glad things are looking better and we at least think we know what was plaguing the Meyer Ranch this past week. Nothings more frustrating or scary then not knowing why you're family is sick.

Tomorrow we're heading up to Cottor's cabin for the 4th of July fireworks. Happy 4th of July everyone!

CaringBridge: Meyer Ranch

Ok, I need to spread a little good news first...

My parents got an offer on their house! They haven't decided yet if they're going to take it or not, but it's at least good that someone made an offer. I told them they should just take it. It's not that much lower then their asking price and with the market the way it is...you just never know. So we'll see about that.

My sister moved into a new place in NY...cheaper rent so I can't blame her. And my brother Steven moved into his new place in Whitewater. As for Mitchell...seriously the kid is huge now! Check out his blog. I talked to him this morning over Skype for about a half hour. He's doing well and seems in great spirits. He still doesn't know his leave dates, which sucks, but I guess who cares as long as he gets to come home for a little bit.

Brian's family is doing well. Not too much new with them.

As for the ranch...the dogs are doing ok. We didn't feed them yesterday at all. The vet said yesterday (which I didn't know) that a dog can go a week without eating with no ill affects to their bodies. So we didn't feed them yesterday and are switching to a bland dog food. We got all new food and water dishes and Brian used this excuse to buy a brand new pressure washer to wash out their kennels. (Just kidding babe). So we'll see how they do today. As long as they all still lift their heads and wag their tails when I see them I'm not freaking out.

As for Logan...Brian said he had a slight fever yesterday and didn't really want to eat anything. He eat ok for me last night and drank his bottle just fine. He's got diarrhea though and a serious diaper rash from that. Then right before I was going to put him to bed he threw up again. No warning or nothing. He was playing with me on the chair and all of a sudden a fountain of vomit. Then as soon as he was done, he was playing again. It's strange and I read on-line this morning,

"Other, less common symptoms that can accompany roseola include cough, runny nose, stomachache, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, and swollen lymph nodes and eyelids. However, if your child has any of these symptoms with his fever, it is less likely he has roseola."

So now I'm thinking it might not be Roseola. I don't know. Brian was going to keep him home again today to watch him and possibly take him in to the Dr. as well. I just feel so bad for him and wish I knew what to do to make him feel better...
