How does your garden grow?

Very well surprisingly! Last night Brian, Sherri and I were able to enjoy the first "fruits" of our garden for dinner...green beans! I'm so excited that our garden actually worked, I figured we'd get nothing out of it but a bunch of weeds. I know we owe the success of our garden in large part to BMeyer and his masterful gardening skills! And I also know we have a long ways to go before we're even close to being master gardeners, but I'm just happy we were able to actually eat something out of it. The peas are almost ready too...although if Brian keeps eating them right out of the garden I'm not sure they'll ever actually make it to the dinning room table. :-) The only thing that really struggling to survive are the peppers, but hey for our first attempt at a garden I'm very happy with how things are turning out!

I also got a new camera on Tuesday! I love it and am so excited about it! Check it out.

Wanted...a good home for cute puppies!

So Ruger's puppies are ready to find good homes!

Zach brought 6 of the 12 over tonight for us to pick out the puppy we're going to get. It's a toss up right now between the big yellow one standing in the back of the following image and the chocolate lab laying on the left hand side in the following image.







If anyone is interested in taking one of these adorable puppies home please let us know. They're pure-bred Labrador Retrievers and there is yellow, chocolate, and black ones. The males are going for $350 and the females are going for $375. You can send me an e-mail or give me a call if you're interested. They need good homes!

Cereal

Sunday, Mom and Dad fed Logan his first rice cereal. I have a video of it, but I couldn't get youtube to upload it for me so I'll work on that later. For right now here are some pictures. He did really good, ate the entire bowl...although he was really fussy the rest of the day so I'm not sure if he got gas from it or what.





These pictures are of Logan holding his own bottle. He can't reach out and grab it and put it in his mouth, but he will hold it while he's eating. He'll sometimes hold it long enough to eat the entire bottle.





There's also a picture here that shows how far Logan will scoot when he's on the floor. When I put him on the floor he was over by his burp rag...and now look where he is...

4th of Firsts

This 4th of July was full of firsts for Logan. Thursday after work Brian, Logan and I headed up to Cottor's cabin. That's Kelly's parents cabin in Siren WI. They have a big 4th of July party at their cabin every year. Thursday night was Logan's first "camping trip"...it's the first time he slept in the camper. The reason camping trip is in quotes is Cottor's cabin is more of a lake home than a cabin, so it wasn't really roughing it camping. But their cabin/lake home is gorgeous!! And we really appreciate the hospitality last weekend Jane, Dennis, Kelly and family! Thank you! Thursday night Logan kind of got to meet his new friend Nicolas Ryman. Nicolas was born May 20th, so he's two months younger than Logan. When Kristi and Tim got to the cabin it was late, so Logan was already sleeping. But Then Nicolas fell asleep and Logan woke up so they didn't actually get to meet each other. Nicolas is so cute though and it was great to see you Kristi! Congratulations again!

Friday was nice and the first time Logan got to play in a lake. At first Uncle Mike dipped his feet in the water and Logan just started screaming. It was just too cold for him. But when Mom took him and gradually got him used to the water he did really good. He was a little overwhelmed by everything going on, and just kept looking around with this anxious look on his face. In the following picture Logan is at "the point" as uncle Mike likes to put it. It's that point of going into the water that only boys would know about...Uncle Mike said it's a little difficult to get past, but once you're past it your good to go! :-) And some pictures of Logan and cousin Stella swimming in the lake.







Friday was a blast just hanging out in the sun, going for rides on the pontoon, grilling out. Friday night was actually pretty mellow, most people were still recovering from the night before so we just hung out and watched some t.v. Well everyone except uncle Dan of course, he was pretty full on Friday night, but super cute! He came into the house at about midnight and wanted to hold Logan. Logan was sleeping in Kelly's arms so Dan took him from Kelly. He sat down in the chair next to Grandma Cottor for about a half hour just holding Logan and talking to Grandma. Then the recliner became available so he moved from the kitchen table to the recliner...it only took about 2 min. for uncle Dan to pass out with Logan in his arms (see below). It was too funny and too cute! But of course if you ask Dan he was just resting his eyes...although when I removed the beer bottle from his hand, his hand continued to stay as if he was still holding the beer bottle...but he was just resting his eyes... ;-)





Then Saturday we hung out again all day and stayed until Saturday night and watched the awesome fireworks display the Cottor's put on. It was pretty neat. A shout out to Jody, Debbie, Kelly, Kari, and Brett, thanks girls for a great weekend it was fun hanging out with you!

Oh and I'm not passed out in the one picture, I have the worst case of gut rot and mud butt ever...I was in serious pain...

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone!

I know it's a couple of days late, but the wifi didn't quite reach to Cottor's cabin! I don't have my camera with me today, so there won't be any pics until tonight...sorry. I'll fill everyone in on the weekend then.

7:00 am on Monday morning....augh....I need coffee!

Rollin' Over

Lately Logan has been getting so close to rolling over from his back to his front. He loves to kick his legs up into the air and roll on his side. He also loves to push his feet into the floor and lift his butt up into the air and kind of scoot on the floor. If you leave him in one spot and go make dinner, you'll come back and he'll have moved about three feet from where you left him. If you put him on this stomach he gets up on his knees and looks like he's going to start crawling, but then just plops back down.

Last night I came home from work to find Brian kind of crabby and extremely frustrated with a number of things (i.e. the government, the car, not getting as much done as he wanted to that day.) Which was fine, I couldn't blame him for being frustrated with those things, they suck...what can you say. But then on one of his stomping trips from the house to the garage he turns to me and very nonchalantly says to me with a huge smile on his face, "Oh by the way, Logan can roll from his stomach to his back now. He did it twice this morning." What the ?!?!? You can not be super crabby and then just drop this bomb on me! I was so excited! and so sad at the same time. I spent all last night trying to get Logan to roll from his stomach to his back, but of course he wouldn't do it...little stinker...This workin' Mom thing is really the pits. Don't get me wrong I love my job, but if it means I can't see my sons first milestones count me out...oh wait...you can't count me out or we'd be livin' on the streets eating poached deer and rabbit for dinner...damn it!

Way to go Logan!!
