I know I've been really slacking on the blog posting lately. No excuse really other than work is crazy and I'm tired and also maybe cause nothing exciting is happening around the Ranch. I'll try to take some pictures of the boys this weekend and update everyone with what's been happening around the Ranch...for now here's a few pictures from this past weekend.
Brian finished the see through fireplace last weekend. Part of finishing it was welding it together in place, so he borrowed Bob's welder and started welding. Logan was intrigued by the idea, Of course we didn't let him watch Daddy welding but he really liked wearing Daddy's welding helmet and goggles.
Look Mom a welding helmet! It's so cool!
I can curl this thing...see no problem. It isn't even heavy!
And of course because of the big game last Sunday we had to dress the boys in all Vikings. It hurt my eyes to look at them for too long, but even in purple and gold they're still cute! And yes the "Slackers" title does refer to the Vikings as well...pokey old Vikings as Becky put it on Sunday! hehehe...Good old Brett Farve! :-)

Working it out
Logan's really getting into the "I want to do what you do Mom" stage. It's pretty funny actually. He'll watch me wash my face at night and want to do everything I do. He points to his check and wants me to put the toner and moisturizer on his checks too. The other morning I came into the bathroom and this is what I found:
He had put on my workout headbands that I use to keep my hair out of my face. I laughed so hard. He looked so cute!
"Holy crap I think I'm turning into a GIRL!"
Here's a few pictures of the mouse too. He's really starting to push up when he's on his tummy and you can see his legs getting into the crawling action. Brian called that he'd be crawling before he's 6 months old...which is really early. We'll see if he actually does or not.
I love tummy time!
Rock it Cody!
I love his chubby legs
Go Pack Go! :-)

"Doing Mommy"
Logan: "Doing Mommy"
Tee: "Folding the laundry Logan."
30 seconds later...

I think you're starting to see the pattern here...all Logan does lately is walk around the house, "Doing Mommy?" "Doing Daddy?" over and over again. Sometimes I like to mix it up and through in an occasional, "I'm decapitating turtles Logan, what are you doing?" Luckily he doesn't know what that means, and just goes on his merry way only to come back 30 seconds later and ask what I'm doing again, at which point I might be mailing relief efforts to Haiti...ya just never know! :-) It's cute that he's interested in what we're doing, but answering the question about 390238 times is not cute. I know I know, it's only going to get worse when he gets to the point of "Why?", "Why?", "Why?" and I'm sure I'll come up with some creative answers to the "Why?" question too...but for now we'll just have fun with the "Doing Mommy?" question. :-)
Also wanted to let everyone know that my brother Mitchell is home safely!!! My parents, Jamie and Adam picked him up yesterday afternoon. He stopped over last night and it was so wonderful to see him! We're so glad he's home safely and doesn't have to go back in two weeks! Thank you so much Mitchell for everything you've done for the last year! He doesn't get any down time though, school starts next Monday for him already. Although I'm sure just being home is a huge relief and the stress of getting everything lined up for school and finding a place to live is something he'll be able to handle. Plus he's got a very cute girl to help him with all that stuff!
Does anyone know how to get a 4 month old to sleep longer than 4 hours at a time? Send answers/advice to me asap please!!

Birthday
Yesterday was my 29th birthday...one more year before I start the climb to over the hill! This past weekend my good friend April and I took a trip to the windy city. Since she lives in Milwaukee it's only an hour train ride to Chicago for her and I found a really good deal on airfare for me. We stayed at a great place and it was a very much needed vacation for both of us. It was a birthday celebration, but really it was a "We survived hunting 2009" celebration. We went out with a friend of Aprils on Friday night and then Saturday shopped and went out to dinner. It was a ton of fun and something we'll definitely do again! Thanks so much April! It was so great to see you and get to catch up!
Yesterday on my actual birthday, Brian was suppose to bowl for Dan since he's in Idaho, but surprised me by not bowling and taking me and the boys out to dinner. It was a lot of fun and it's always nice not to have to cook on your birthday! He also got me a bottle of wine and some flowers! It was perfect! I love you babe!
Yesterday we also had our little mouse's 4 month appt. I can't believe he's already 4 months old! He's growing perfectly, right where he should be for height and weight and the doctor said he's very alert and curious which is a good thing! My parents watched the boys this weekend while I was in Chi town and Brian had a wrestling tournament (Thank you very much by the way!). My Dad hit the nail on the head when I talked to him yesterday, he said, "Cody was so great. He just sat and smiled the whole day, didn't cry or whine once the entire day." He has a cold right now so the nights are a bit of a struggle cause the poor kid can't breath, but when he's healthy he's so happy...and even when he's not healthy he's happy during the day! We're so blessed to have him in our lives! (And Logie too! :-) )

Bob the Builder
Here's our little Bob the Builder. Brian and I got Logan some tools and a tool bench for Christmas. The other morning Logan put the hardhat and safety glasses on and was looking out the window through his binoculars. He keep saying "Big Buck" over and over. It's just amazing the things they pick up. Brian hasn't looked out the window through the binoculars for deer in months...yet Logan knew exactly what to do with the binoculars and exactly what he should be looking for. :-)
The other night Sherri, Cody and I were folding clothes in my room while Brian and Logan were playing upstairs with Logan's tool bench. Brian comes down the stairs and says, "I'll be right back I need to run down to the shed for a second." So I don't think anything of it and continue folding clothes. Five mins later Brian comes in the house with a 2x4, some other sheets of wood, his HUGE bag of tools, cordless drill and cordless circular saw and heads up the stairs. Sherri and I just looked at each other and started laughing. Here's the conversation that followed:
Tee: Babe, what the heck are you doing with all the wood and tools?
BMeyer: Fixing Logan's tool bench.
Tee: [laughing] What's wrong with it?
BMeyer: You got a sucky tool bench, it needs some improvements.
Tee: What!?!?! The tool bench sucks?
BMeyer: Yeah it doesn't have anything for him to put nails into or screws and there's no place to hang his tools.
Tee: [still laughing] Ok, well good luck. Just don't wreck it.
BMeyer: Have some faith babe. This will be the coolest tool bench ever.
The next thing we heard was the circular saw running. Brian worked on improving the tool bench for about a half hour. It was pretty funny. I wish I had taken before pictures of the tool bench, but didn't realize at the time that it sucked. Here's some after shots of it, and I do have to say it is much better now that it's had the BMeyer makeover.
A few other quick funny stories about Logan. At the Ranch we've got those child proof door knobs on some of the doors, so that Logan can't get into our bedroom and a few other rooms in the house. The other day Brian and I were standing in the kitchen talking and Logan comes up to me and says, "broke" and hands me the child proof door knob. I'm not joking, he figured out how to get the child proof door knob off the door handle. I don't even know how to get them off. I'm sure he was just playing around with it and some how managed to get it to come off. He hasn't done it again since, but seriously!?! We're in big trouble I think. He's just so determined and seems to be able to do anything he sets his mind too. The other day he grabbed his toy needle nose pliers and was trying to open his thing of blocks that had a zip tie all the way around it, I mean seriously he's maybe seen Brian do something like that once or twice and he just knows that's what you use the tool for. I think we're really going to be in trouble soon....
The last funny story, which is sort of scary as well is the other night Logan climbed into the washing machine. The video's kind of cute cause he was having a grand old time in there, but it's also sort of scary. That could be dangerous if the door got shut or something. We'll just have to watch him like a hawk...which we already have to do because he's into everything!!! :-)
