Hi....so I suck at blogging....
I'm finally posting pictures/videos from my surprise Happy Hour for my birthday. My goal this weekend was to get all the videos and pictures I have uploaded and do a bunch of blog posts, but of course the internet at home was acting up so I couldn't upload anything. It took me all day to upload this video of my surprise Happy Hour. My goal is to upload a bunch of things at work tomorrow and get a bunch of blog posts out this week. But don't hold your breath...
Anyway, so my wonderful husband, friends and co-workers surprised me with a little happy hour for my birthday. It was unexpected and super fun! Nothing major, just a little get together for some wings and beer. Here's the video of me walking in and a few pictures.
[OK so I can't get the pictures to work either...I'll upload them tomorrow am and update this post.]

Thirties
Today I'm 30. What can I say...I half expected to wake up this morning to go for a run and not be able to breath past the half mile point...or find that Mother Natures birthday give to me was 8 new wrinkles in places I've never had them before...but for the most part today is a normal everyday day. Other than Brian getting up early and making me a ham, egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast and doing the laundry for me it's just a typical Tuesday.
Logan was a little confused this morning when Brian asked him, "Do you know who's birthday it is today?" He responded, "Mine!". He was a little disappointed when Brian told him no it was Mom's birthday. Although Brian mentioned something about making a cake today with April and he got excited after that. Before I left for work today it wasn't, "You're going to work to make money for me?", it was "it's your birthday?" with a confused look. This age is so fun, but also very confusing for little kids. :-)
I can't help but sing Tim McGraw's song, "My Next 30 Years" in my head all day today. My next 30 years...what will they bring. In looking back on the first 30 years I can say I don't have a single regret. Brian and I were talking the other day and saying how we might not 'have it all' meaning money or toys or other things, but we really do 'have it all'. Good friends and family, great jobs, an awesome house/ranch, two adorable and (for the most part) well-behaved kids, and each other. I'm so blessed to have such an amazing life and am grateful to have you all in it. Thank you for the birthday wishes and here's to another wonderful 30 years!!

10K
Run the Osceola 10K
Last Saturday I completed the Osceola 10K...now for a runner (which I do not consider myself to be a runner) running a 10K is a drop in the bucket. For me it was a total accomplishment and something I will remain proud of....that is until I do a half marathon! :-)

My good friend Jody also ran the 10K! Jody you did a fantastic job and I'm so proud of you!! Way to go girl!

Others that ran the 5K were my parents! Congrats you 2! Great job!

Sherri also ran the 5K! Congrats to you!!

I have more pictures and some cute videos from fair weekend to come...I'll try to get another post out soon!

Target Field
A few pictures of my first couple trips to Target Field. It's totally awesome!! I went to a game on Wednesday with Kim. It was a little chilly, but a really good game! Then Thursday night Brian and I went to a game for our anniversary. It rained almost the entire game, but where we were sitting we didn't get a single drop of rain and we were a lot warmer than the game the day before...although the game itself was really boring. :-)

P90X: Bring It...Brought It...Done!
I know I know, most of you are probably sick of me talking about P90X, but it's a difficult program for 90 days and I'm extremely proud of completing it. Sunday Sherri and I did final testing and took our after shots, so I promise this is the last time I'll talk about it on the blog/facebook.
The before and after shots.
Sherri looked FANTASTIC before we even started! Most people would kill for her before body! But she worked hard and pushed herself every day to get better! Great work Sherri and thank you for motivating me to keep going! I couldn't have done it without you!

Here's my shots. No I am not "pushing out" in the side shot...that was my little Cody Mouse belly...which I'm glad to say is now gone and all I'm left with is the cutest little boy!!

The stats:

Yes Sherri did gain weight during this. Muscle weights more than fat!
Yes we did count halfs for pull-ups...have you tried one...they're the hardest things on Earth to do...my 2 1/2 about killed me...
Toe Touch is a flexibility thing...which I suck at so getting to +5 was almost my biggest accomplishment for the training...well besides my 2 1/2 pull-ups.
In & Outs are ab strength...as you can see before I started I had NO ab muscles...I did just have a baby 3 months ago though so I didn't really expect too much.
It feels so good to say that we've done this! Thanks again Sherri for helping me kick Tony Horton's ass! :-)
Ok, now I won't talk about it any more....

Twinsfest 2010
This past weekend was Twinsfest 2010. I went on Friday night with Kim and Keri because we wanted to get Justin Morneau's autograph. We waited in line outside (in the freezing cold) for about an hour before the doors opened. There were so many people in line that it took us another 20 mins to get inside even after the doors opened. Joe Mauer was signing autographs first so there was a ton of people in line for his. Once we got inside we waited for an hour and a half for Justin's autograph. The time went by really fast so it wasn't bad. This is the conversation Justin and I had during the signing...
Tee [handing him his picture to sign]: Hi, how are you?
Justin: Good. Did you make that? [pointing at my shirt]
Tee: [Looking down at my shirt] No? (Then I got kind of flustered and looked back at Kim who was behind me).
Justin: Oh, I've just never seen one like that before. Where'd you get it?
Tee: [Still flustered] Aaahhh.... (Then I very cooly start pointing into space randomly...luckily Kim saved me...)
Kim: The pro-shop.
Justin: Oh I see.
Tee: Nope I made it myself...just for you...
Justin laughs
Tee walks away completely embarrassed and flustered.
It was so funny...the nervous star factor totally set in and I just didn't know what to say.
Anyway, here are a few pictures. The rest of the night was fun and uneventful compared to the Justin signing...although we did look at each other all night and go, "Did you make that?". :-)

Birthday
Yesterday was my 29th birthday...one more year before I start the climb to over the hill! This past weekend my good friend April and I took a trip to the windy city. Since she lives in Milwaukee it's only an hour train ride to Chicago for her and I found a really good deal on airfare for me. We stayed at a great place and it was a very much needed vacation for both of us. It was a birthday celebration, but really it was a "We survived hunting 2009" celebration. We went out with a friend of Aprils on Friday night and then Saturday shopped and went out to dinner. It was a ton of fun and something we'll definitely do again! Thanks so much April! It was so great to see you and get to catch up!

Yesterday on my actual birthday, Brian was suppose to bowl for Dan since he's in Idaho, but surprised me by not bowling and taking me and the boys out to dinner. It was a lot of fun and it's always nice not to have to cook on your birthday! He also got me a bottle of wine and some flowers! It was perfect! I love you babe!

Yesterday we also had our little mouse's 4 month appt. I can't believe he's already 4 months old! He's growing perfectly, right where he should be for height and weight and the doctor said he's very alert and curious which is a good thing! My parents watched the boys this weekend while I was in Chi town and Brian had a wrestling tournament (Thank you very much by the way!). My Dad hit the nail on the head when I talked to him yesterday, he said, "Cody was so great. He just sat and smiled the whole day, didn't cry or whine once the entire day." He has a cold right now so the nights are a bit of a struggle cause the poor kid can't breath, but when he's healthy he's so happy...and even when he's not healthy he's happy during the day! We're so blessed to have him in our lives! (And Logie too! :-) )

Sledding and Snowman
As I mentioned earlier on Christmas day everyone brought their snow gear so we could go sledding. Mom and Logie went outside early and made a snowman. He really liked when Mom pulled him around in the sled, but wasn't too keen on walking in the snow. I'm not sure if it was just too deep for him or what, but he would not walk in the snow. And by the end of the snowman he was sitting in the sled covering his face with his gloves. I figured he was just cold and wanted to go in, which was true, so I figured he wouldn't really like sledding. That he'd go down the hill twice and be ready to go back to the house. Boy was I wrong...he LOVED sledding. See for yourself in the videos. He laughed and laughed and laughed and after every trip down the hill it was, "den, den" which is 'again' in Logan speak. Too cute. We definitely have a boys boy on our hands!
Mom and Logie...I love this picture.

Our little snowman. No corncob pipe or button nose, but we did give him arms and a face made of rocks.

Logan's first trip down the hill with Dad. Dad's a little too big for the sled and I think weighted it down a little. But Logan didn't care, he still loved it!
"Den" :-)
Mom, Dad and Logan. Winter Fun!

Logan had it so easy. Of course we'd always pull him up the hill in the sled. He never got tired...us on the other hand were tired after about the fourth trip up the hill... :-)

Someone before us had built this cool bench out of snow. It was pretty big and really was nice to have something to sit on.

BMeyer chilaxing

We only had three sleds and there were eight of us counting Logan, so you had to wait to get a turn on the sleds. Jamie was sitting at the top of the hill and found some garbage bags, so she decided to try going down the hill on the garbage bag. It worked surprisingly well actually. So here's my attempt at going down the hill on a garbage bag. Way to be inventive Jamie! :-)

Bring It!
Sherri and I are halfway through the P90X workout program. It's a pretty intense 90 day workout program that is VERY time consuming. We will admit that we've veered from the program a little bit, we don't do the diet plan, nor the 90 min yoga workout nor do we do the Kempo workout which is all punching and kicking...we tried it once and looked like total and complete fools and decided we'd much rather just run on those days. It's at least an hour workout most days, so while we workout Logan and Cody get to play in the basement. Logan loves it, he gets to sit on the pool table and put the balls in the holes and get into all kinds of things. Now after Christmas he's got even more toys to play with downstairs which should help keep him occupied while we workout. Every once in a while he'll stop playing and watch what Sherri and I are doing. It's pretty funny watching him try to do our exercises with us. There's a short video of him doing the ab routine with us. It's really funny when he tries to do the Plyometrics with us and just jumps around on the mat.
Here's a few shots of Sherri and I goofing around.

We're half way Sherri...Tony Horton is the devil some days...but we'll keep bringing it until we're done with this hellish program!
